SAM Medical Teams Up With the Stop the Bleed Scholarship Program

WILSONVILLE, Ore., May 13, 2019 /PRNewswire/ --  SAM Medical, an industry leader in the pre-hospital, trauma care market, has partnered with National Stop the Bleed Day to award a total of $20,000 in scholarships to students who enter a contest describing how Stop the Bleed is important to them, their school, and their community by submitting an essay or video.  

As part of the Stop the Bleed scholarship program, SAM Medical is sponsoring Stop the Bleed scholarships specifically for students attending high school in Oregon, Washington, California and Texas, with a top prize in each state of $3,000 to the student, and 30 Stop the Bleed kits going the winning students' schools.  The second and third place winners in each state will receive $1,500 and $500, with 15 and 5 Stop the Bleed kits going to their respective schools.  Students who are interested in entering need to apply no later than Friday, May 31, 2019.
