Jerome Workman Joins UBM Americas’ LCGC and Spectroscopy Editorial Team
ISELIN, N.J., Oct. 15, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Jerome Workman has joined UBM Americas as Senior Technical Editor of LCGC and Spectroscopy.
Workman previously served as executive vice-president of Research & Engineering at Unity Scientific and Process Sensors Corporation. Prior to that, he held scientific and management roles at Thermo Fisher Scientific and PerkinElmer, among other companies. He is also currently a certified core adjunct professor at National University, in La Jolla, California.
“Over his career, Jerry has played a major role in defining and developing more 20 scientific instrument advancements with novel software improvements for successful commercial use for start-ups to major corporations,” said Mike Tessalone, Vice President and Group Publisher at UBM Americas’ Life Sciences Group. “His insight and experience will further enrich the strong content that LCGC and Spectroscopy provide to our audiences, online and in print.”
Workman holds more than 22 patents, he has published 475 technical publications and 18 reference books on a broad range of spectroscopy, chemometrics, and data processing techniques. He has been the co-author of the “Chemometrics in Spectroscopy” column in Spectroscopy since 1986 and a member of Spectroscopy’s Editorial Advisory Board since 1995.
